These sessions are subsidised by the club, a small charge may be applicable in some cases as outlined below.  Please note that club membership is required to participate in all training sessions.  Taster sessions can be arranged for people considering membership.

Running

We are very happy to be able to run these coached track sessions every Wednesday at Copeland Athletic track 6:00-7:00pm

These sessions follow training plans to develop and improve your running, whatever your pace.  There is no charge for these sessions and all members are welcome!

Every level of runner, from complete beginners, can benefit from these sessions.  Continuing all year round, these sessions are run (pun intended) whatever the weather!

Please use Spond to confirm attendance

These are not coached sessions, but training plans for each session are provided and with eight lanes, all abilities (of reasonably competent swimmers) are provided for.

Open water Swimming!

With four great swimming lakes on our doorstep we couldn't be in a better place!

From 1st of May to the end of September on Monday evening at 6:00pm from Bassenthwaite Sailing Club, we have private access to the lake.  This is not a coached session, but a good mix of abilities and changing facilities (hot showers!) are available.

There is no charge for these sessions and all members are welcome, but please confirm attendance via Spond!

Cycling

We have bike and run (brick) sessions from Cockermouth School car park at 6:30 on Tuesday evenings from 2nd of May until the end of September.  Usually, these uncoached sessions consist of around 30-40 minutes riding, followed by a run of around 20-30 minutes.

Club rides

Club social rides are arranged for the last Saturday of the month from March onwards.  There is a longer and shorter ride and every level of rider is catered for.  Coffee and cake stop is always included!

Normally starting at 8:30am from Cockermouth School, but see Facebook, Whatsapp and Spond for details of each ride.

Zwifting!

During the winter months we have a club Zwift rides on Mondays and Fridays.

Generally, it will be a club social ride on Monday at 6:30pm.  One hour with the "keep everyone together" function so anyone can join and ride as hard or as easy as they like! Then a fun ride Friday at 6:30pm with varied formats.  Group training rides or easy rides with sprints.  Planned so that anyone can take part, but sometimes with a competitive element!

Absolutely all abilities can take part, thanks to Zwift functionality, and we chat as we ride using Discord.

Occasionally we will substitute the ride for a Zwift event, but we can still chat.

All members are welcome, but Zwift membership is also required.  Details are posted, prior to each session, on Whatsapp and Facebook.

Gym sessions

We run an hour session at Lake District Barbell on Thursday evening at 7:00pm.  If demand dictates, we run two sessions, at  6:00pm and 7:00pm.

These are HIIT style coached sessions, using cardio machines, free weights, etc. and are for all abilities.

There is no charge for these sessions and all members are welcome, but places are limited and so attendance needs to be booked via Spond.
